The sustained strength of WA’s economy isn’t bearing any impact on confidence levels.
While WA is the nation’s top performing economy according to household spending, housing finance, dwelling and equipment investment, the majority are still worried about the current state of WA’s economy (60%) and how healthy it will be over the next 12 months (63%), rating their confidence at 6/10 or lower.
Concern about finances is likely to correlate with mortgage stress as it peaks for Gen Y (68%).
